THE MUD 61 AND 62 SERVICE AREAS, WHICH INCLUDE WILLIAMSBURG SETTLEMENT, ARE PATROLLED BY HARRIS COUNTY SHERRIF'S OFFICE (HCSO) DEPUTIES OPERATING UNDER CONTRACT TO THE MUDS. THE PATROL CONTRACTS ARE MANAGED BY MUD 61.
THE WILLIAMSBURG SETTLEMENT HOA BOARD IS NO LONGER INVOLVED IN THE PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES.
As a courtesy to our residents, the HOA is posting below an extract from the latest HCSO monthly report of the activities that occurred within the Settlement and a link to the year-to-date figures of that same information beginning with 2023.
As October 29 was the last day the deputy who compiled this report was available prior to going on an extended leave, it does not cover any activities for October 30 and 31.
Traffic stats are solid this month, though slightly lower than we would like to see, as we've seen a significant reduction in infractions. It’s becoming more challenging to spot violations, which is a positive development and suggests that drivers are paying more attention to the roadway due to consistent monitoring by the Mud 61/62 Deputies. We’ve also had several successful arrests this month, which will further contribute to a safer environment.
